SILVERLEAFE AGROCLUSTER HELD THE NAVRUZ HOLIDAY FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF MINGCHINAR VILLAGE


On March 22, Silverleafe held a festive event in honor of Navruz holiday for 5,000 residents of the nearby Mingchinar village in Pakhtakor district, Jizzakh region.
The program of the event included: a performance by the participants of the Cultural Center of Pakhtakor district, culinary duel among the 13 streets of Mingchinar, mini-football competition, performance by young artists, as well as a trade fair with sweets and national souvenirs. 300 kilograms of plov and 200 liters of sumalak were prepared for all residents of the village. The event began with a congratulatory speech by the company’s General Director, Dan Patterson, and his deputy, Erkin Nurmatov.

After the solemn opening speech, Dan Patterson took part in the judging of the culinary duel, where 13 streets of the Mingchinar village fought for the first place according to the criteria: creativity, taste and preservation of traditions in the preparation of national dishes. All participants of the contest received cash prizes, and the main winners were “Hamida Alimdzhan” and “Mustakillik” streets, which took first and second place, respectively.
In the mini-football competitions among the youth of Mingchinar village, young men born in 1994 and 2001 took part and were divided into teams. At the end of the match, Dan Patterson awarded each player of both teams for their skills and outstanding abilities in the title of the best forward, goalkeeper and defender.
