FIRST CHARITY FOOTBALL GAME ORGANIZED BY SILVERLEAFE RAISED 130 MILLION SOUMS FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER

At Tashkent International School, 300 people took part in the first charity football match between the two professional women’s football teams of Sogdiana and Pakhtakor.

The event began with an introductory speech by a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ezgu Amal Foundation, Aziza Umarova, Deputy Khokim of the Jizzakh region, Azim Akhmedkhodzhayev, the head of Silverleafe as well as the general sponsor of the event, Dan Patterson, and Tashkent International School representative, Angelika Kaster.

The event became a center for combining the social activities of the sponsors, bringing attention to both raising funds to help children with cancer and the development of women’s sports in the country.

As Munira Khojahan, head of the Ezgu Amal Foundation, said:

“The charity game was not only a landmark event for us, which helped to attract even more attention to the problems faced by a large number of people. Working together with Silveleafe and its partners, we feel the care and support of local and international companies, as well as people who want to help and change the world for the better.”

At the end of the first half, Sogdiana led Pakhtakor 4 to 2. While Pakhtakor made a comeback early in the second half, Sogdiana came out victorious with the final score being Sogdiana 6, Pakhtakor 4.

During the dinner following the game and after the presentations of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan and Agros Khayot, the PR director of Silverleafe, Igor Fedorov, presented a map of the social activities of partner companies throughout the Republic.
